On the 18th of October 2025, In Lagos Nigeria — Adidas Originals Studio made its debut, transforming the city’s creative energy into a day-long experience of collaboration, conversation, and community.
This experience brought together emerging voices across fashion, music, and culture, reaffirming Adidas Originals as a cultural catalyst for the next generation including here in Nigeria.
The event featured a series of sessions led by some of Lagos’ leading creative figures. Momo Hassan Odukale together with five leading Nigerian fashion heads (Dunsin Wright, Kilentar, Kadiju, Gather House and Refaini) opened with a talk on evolving ideas from thoughts to reality, drawing from their experiences building some of Nigeria’s most exciting fashion brands. Designer Jomi Marcus Bello followed with an interactive creative workshop, guiding participants through the process of shaping concepts into real world solutions.
Filmmaker and storyteller Korty EO hosted a fireside chat with Daniel Obasi, Jomi, and Momo, where they discussed the realities of creative work and the importance of collaboration. At sunset, Daniel Obasi led a hands-on photography workshop focused on capturing the essence of natural light. The day concluded with a dynamic sounds workshop by the DJ collective, Sweat It Out Lagos, exploring the future of electronic music in Nigeria, mixing, and live performances.
From hands-on workshops exploring identity and creative storytelling, to conversations on collaboration, authenticity, and street culture, Originals Studio Lagos provided young creators at all levels with a platform to learn, connect, and shape what comes next.
The activation closed with a music experience that blended DJ performances and boiler room energy; a fitting reflection of Lagos’ role as one of the most influential creative cities in the world.
Following its success in Johannesburg and Cape Town, Lagos marks the next chapter in the Adidas Originals Studio journey, spotlighting local creators and fostering creative collaboration across Africa’s most dynamic cultural hubs.
