Davido released his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, on July 31, 2026 - a date chosen deliberately to mark exactly 15 years since he launched his professional music career.

The 13-track project is his shortest to date, a focused body of work that follows 5ive, which peaked at number two on the Billboard World Albums chart in 2025. The album title is derived from the Yoruba words ori (destiny) and adé (crown), translating to "the crowned head." When Davido announced the project in June, he captioned the cinematic teaser - in which he appeared in regal Yoruba attire soundtracked by a Yoruba eulogy - with: "The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne."

The tracklist brings together a carefully selected lineup of African and international collaborators. 'Amazing Grace' features Black Sherif, 'B4 B4' features Mayorkun and FOLA, 'Tell Everybody' features Leon Thomas, 'Yaya' features Aya Nakamura, and 'My Light' features Llona. JAZZWRLD and GL Ceejay appear on the lead single 'I Know Who I Be', while No11 features on 'Gimme Dat Ting'. The remaining tracks - 'On The Road', 'Julie', 'Constantly', 'Already Falling', 'Zanzibar' and 'Guide' - round out the project.

Ahead of the album's release, Davido hosted two listening events for close friends, collaborators and industry figures. The first took place in Lagos, sponsored by Martell, Ajoje and The Plug - an intimate gathering that gave attendees an early experience of the full project. The second followed in New York City at the Amber Room on July 31, presented by Martell, where Davido's wife Chioma, manager Asa Asika and longtime collaborator DJ ECool were among those present. ECool played the album in its entirety before Davido joined him on stage to perform selections from the record. Black Sherif made a surprise appearance to perform 'Amazing Grace' live - one of the evening's standout moments.

In a recent interview ahead of the release, Davido described ORIADÉ as a return to his "original high-energy African sound," recorded over two years while balancing an extensive international touring schedule. The album is set to be performed live for the first time at an exclusive show at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on August 11, with a wider world tour expected to follow.
