Waleadebisi is a self-taught Nigerian born photographer hailing from Lagos, where he was raised.

His journey into the world of photography began during his academic pursuit of sociology at the University of Ilorin. It was through the lens of sociology that he first glimpsed the potential of photography as a tool for societal change and civic awareness. This revelation ignited his passion for photography, inspiring him to capture the essence of social phenomena through visuals.

His early education took place at St. Saviors Primary and High School in Lagos, setting the stage for his future intellectual and artistic pursuits. The pivotal moment came when he enrolled at the University of Ilorin to earn a degree in sociology, a field that would become the foundation for his photographic exploration.

Wale Adebisi's artistic practice revolves around using photography as a means to challenge and reshape prevailing negative perceptions of Africa. He believes that photography is a potent instrument for social commentary and change. Through his lens, he seeks to offer fresh perspectives and tell compelling stories that counter stereotypes and reveal the multifaceted beauty of the African continent
