Crowned TikTok Best-dressed Guy by Vogue, Wisdom Kaye has seen many big fashion moments. From collaborations with big labels like Crocs and Adidas to having a Met Gala debut in early 2026, the Nigerian-American fashionista is presently having a major moment across global fashion.
He proved his mettle at the kickstarter event for New York Fashion Week, Harlem's Fashion Row's 19th Annual Awards Show, where he clinched the Virgil Abloh Award.
After receiving the award from LVMH, Kaye gave a speech about how much the moment meant to him and how he was once a boy with an iPhone camera and a dream. "I never thought that with an iPhone and the corner of my room that I would inspire people all over the world,” he said, tucked in his navy pinstripe suit and aviator-themed reading glasses.
Kaye built his fanbase across high fashion, just from styling ludicrous things on the internet like fonts, or countries, and even animated shows.
One of my favourite moments of Wisdom Kaye was his behind-the-scenes look on his YouTube channel of how he styled the solar system.
Kaye’s style of edits is heavily modern and alt. Music, jump cuts, and a silly sense of humour adorn his uploads on social media. A lover of the Chrome Hearts symbol and elegant fashion, Kaye represents effortless style. He is a proud poster-face of global Black fashion, one opening doors that were previously closed to creators like himself.

The Virgil Abloh award, sponsored by LVMH, honours fashion creators who carry the late fashion designer's creative ethos. Other recipients of the award include Issa Rae, in 2022, A$AP ROCKY, in 2023, Teyana Taylor, in 2024, and Usher, in 2025.
Some notable people were also given their flowers at the ceremony. Harlem's Fashion Row honoured Erykah Badu with the Fashion Icon Award for her bold, maximalist, and risk-taking style, Jahleel Weaver who was the deputy creative director of Fenty from 2019 to 2021 was awarded with Stylist Of The Year, and Brandon Blackwood was crowned Designer Of The Year.
Beyond an award night, it puts Black fashion creators under a spotlight, a place that is not credibly accessible due to the worsening industry classism, racism, and colourism.
Kaye, who was also recently featured in an Old Navy commercial with Cardi B, recognizes this privilege: "I recognize that not everybody has the same privilege that I do.”
